Tooth Fairy Decides To Be Generous With Her Money In 2014
Take it as a sign that after years of a struggling economy, the Tooth Fairy, at least, is back on her feet. Last year saw a marked increase in the value of children’s teeth. According to an annual survey conducted by Visa, American children receive on average $3.70 per lost tooth, an increase of 23% from 2012 and 42% from 2011. Who fared the best? Children in northeastern states reportedly earned an average of $4.10 per tooth, while the lowest earners were kids in the Midwest at $3.30. And a lucky 2% of kids across the country reportedly found $50 for each of their pearly whites.
